Matthew Boulton included in the new Pioneers of the Industrial Revolution postage stamp issue

Matthew Boulton is one of the famous names featured in the Royal Mail's new Pioneers of the Industrial Revolution postage stamp issue.

Boulton and his business partner James Watt appear on the two first class stamps.

The other pioneers featured are Josiah Wedgwood, Richard Arkwright, George Stephenson, Henry Maudslay, James Brindley and John MacAdam.

The stamps will be on sale from March 10 2009.
